January 20 2025 UAT testing - 2
Emergency maintenance release scheduled for eCollision application today, Friday, 10 Dec 2021 at 17:00. The application will be unavailable from 17:00 to 17:30 during the release. If issues persist after 17:30, please call the GoA Service Desk at 780-427-1GoA (1462)
To have a collision record re-worked back or amended or deleted please email:ecollisionadmin@gov.ab.ca . Please provide us the Alberta Collision case number and the police file number.
Open and submitted Status: means the enforcement agency has control of the record. If the record has been submitted the Reviewing Officer can re-work back to open status or make the necessary changes.
Approved Status: means that Alberta Transportation has control over that record. However we are able to re-work back for the enforcement agency do make the necessary changes.
Upload Pending Status: means that Alberta Transportation has control over that record. However we are able to re-work back for the enforcement agency do make the necessary changes.
Uploaded Status: means that Alberta Transportation is unable to re-work it back. However we can still make the necessary changes if the collision year is not closed for amendments.
Important: We are updated our
eCollision and eCruiser applications.

Anticipated Outage Window: 30 minutes each for eCollision and eCruiser
- Police file number
format for CPS and EPS will have mandatory formats.
EPS - 8 digits with the
first 2 digits as the last 2 digits of the collision year followed by 6 digits.
No dashes.
CPS - 10 Characters with
the first 2 characters as CA, the next two as the last 2 digits of the
collision reported year followed by 6 digits. No dashes
-Estimated
Damage - will be mandatory for all objects except for if the
Object has "hit and run" checked.
- Hit and Run check box for Parked Vehicle.
-A validation error in "Driver Action" i.e. When driver action free text contains
"too fast" OR "Unsafe speed" AND if 02. No is selected an error
message will display - Unsafe Speed must be set to '01. Yes' if the Driver
Action is too fast for road conditions.
-Include
Vehicle Make, Model and Color search filter in Search Collision Records Screen.
-Added Estimated $ Damage and owner information and Insured By information for
object type 07 animal.
-County name" for Location under City, Town, Village, Hamlet of. System will give an
Error Message Collision location area cannot be in/near County.
-eCruiser
only "Insurance Company and Agent" and "Policy Number" will be MANDATORY
while "Expiry Date" will be OPTIONAL. This
validation already exists in eCollision.
-Vehicle
Make OR Vehicle Model is NOT NULL) AND OBJECT Identification = 98.
Other/Specify an Error
Message will display - Invalid Object Identification when Vehicle Make/Model is
known.

Role
Required: Field Officer, Reviewing Officer,(or combination of the two)
for the Other Alberta Enforcement Agencies (can have a combination of three roles) see below of
what the meaning of the access roles.
When all information has been entered, Click on
the Click here to validate data after you complete the above form button.
This will cause an automated review of the information you have entered and if
there are no errors you will be asked to click again to submit the data.
When you are set up you will receive an
automated email with further instructions and actions for you to
complete. Once completed you will be able to log in to
eCollision/eCruiser.
Field Officer role: means you can create and
submit collision records only.
Reviewing Officer role: means Approving
collision records that have been submitted by the Field Officer, but will not
allow you to create a collision record. You will require combination of
the two roles Field and Reviewing Officer.
Forward To
District Handler 1:
When a collision occurs within your jurisdiction, but reported outside of your
jurisdiction it will advise that person with that role by email that a record
has been forward to your agency. Reviewing Officer should have that role.

0's. For example, for highway 16 please enter 16 and NOT 016 or for

February 15, 2018 Cannabis
With
cannabis decriminalization coming in 2018 Alberta Transportation (AT) has
introduced a new Driver/Pedestrian Condition option, "Impaired by Drugs
and Alcohol", which will be automatically implemented in eCollision on
January 1, 2018 and in eCruiser on January 7, 2018.
This
will help AT monitor the impacts of cannabis decriminalization on traffic
safety.
Please
refer to the "Driver/Pedestrian Condition" reference documentation and new
definitions in the Classification Manual, all of which are provided
above.

effective January 1, 2018, please contact CollisionData@gov.ab.ca.
